Who are we?
tpv Villach Technology Park with the
High Tech Campus Villach (HTCV) is based on the three-pillar model of education and training, research and development, and companies at one location. With a clear focus on the fields of microelectronics, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, renewable energy and the corresponding service providers and suppliers,
tpv offers space for more than 700 employees, more than 1.000 students at
Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and between 60 and 70 apprentices.
HTCV is a center for technology enterprises, research and training facilities, offering ambitious start-ups the best environment for development of a good business idea into a successful company. With the focuses of electronics, microelectronics, mechatronics, actors | sensors, the "Park in the Park" is being constructed at the left banks of the river Drau in four steps. The first development stage of 4,000 square meters rental space is available immediately. The final development will cover about 16,000 square meters.
At its
tpv location,
Carinthia University of Applied Sciences offers 10 Bachelor's and 10 Master's degree programs in the fields of Engineering & IT and Business & Management. In addition, research and development as well as knowledge and technology transfer take place in the
Science & Energy Labs. For founders, there are separate
founder's garages available where the company is set up.
GPS - Ausbildungszentrum Villach is the perfect partner for working skills and, as a supplement to in-company training, works in close cooperation with training companies to develop the professional, personal and social potential of technical specialists. The center acts as an inter-company training partner for industrial and trade license holders and enables optimum further training in the fields of metal technology as well as mechatronics, electronics and electrical engineering.
The research center
SAL Silicon Austria Labs is located at
HTCV. In addition to the locations Graz and Linz, research and development at the highest level in the fields of EBS Electronic Based Systems (research areas Sensor Systems and Power Electronics).
Silicon Alps Electronic Cluster (at HTCV) is a public-private partnership that brings together Austrian players from industry, science and public authorities to develop and position the electronics and microelectronics sector with a regional focus on the locations Carinthia and Styria. The Silicon Alps cluster regards itself as a long-term strategic alliance and a tool for cooperative, efficient and business-oriented location development. The cluster is open to Startups in the named sectors.
The incubator build! Gründerzentrum (at HTCV) is a competence center supporting the development of technology oriented and knowledge-based Start-up and Scale-up projects. build! also supports regional business development. build! offers consulting services in the areas of business foundation, business model development, business development and funding, provides subsidies and offers infrastructure like digital services, office space and Coworking Spaces in HTCV. In addition, build! provides access to a broad network of mentors, industry partners and investors and hosts network and community events.
KAI Competence Center Automotive and Industrial Electronics GmbH is an established industrial research center with a broad national and international network of industrial and academic partners. In addition to its core competencies in the development of concepts for reliability testing in power electronics, advanced semiconductor materials research, statistical lifetime modelling and multiphysics FEM simulation, KAI maintains a well-equipped electronics laboratory as well as state-of-the-art simulation computer resources and proven experience in the coordination of interdisciplinary research projects.
Intel Austria GmbH is a part of the worldwide Intel group with several locations in Austria. The two locations in Villach are research and development centers that work on product developments for future network generations and digital home networks. They are specialized in innovative mixed signal architectures and RF solutions for broadband communication, wireless communication and Internet chips. Intel semiconductor solutions are used worldwide by leading network operators, mobile phone manufacturers, PC or tablet manufacturers and in-home-networks.
T.I.P.S. Measurement technology GmbH is specialized in the development and production of interfaces for semiconductor testing. The main focus is on test technologies for high performance (high voltage, high current), sensors and devices for IoT (Internet of Things) for e.g. pressure, magnetic, light, radiation, gas, humidity, MEMS devices and automotive radar.
STUWO Villach -
student hall of residence in the
tpv Technology Park Villach offers 110 places (single room in a two-room apartment) for student accommodation. The fully equipped apartment units - each with an integrated kitchenette and private bath/WC - can also be used as a small apartment if required.
