Since October, ABC Accelerator, Slovenia and research and technology transfer center Friuli Innovazione, Italy, have been carrying out a cross-border acceleration program CAB (Crossborder Acceleration Bridge). The goal of the project is cross-border acceleration of startups and SME’s from Italy and Slovenia.
Partnership for corss-border acceleration
The bridge of cross-border acceleration, e.i. CAB 2018-19, is a program for startup companies which is financed under the frame of the european cross-border program Interreg Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020. From 23 who have applied for the program, 15 have been selected to set the foundations of their companies in the two-day CAB Bootcamp, which took place on 1 October at the ABC Accelerator. In Slovenia the acceleration program CAB is carried out by ABC Accelerator, with partners Faculty for management Koper, University of Primorska, Chamber of Commerce Slovenia and company Smart Com. In Italy, the project partners, along with the aforementioned Friuli Innovazione, include Ca 'Foscari University of Venice - department for management, University of Trieste - department for economy, entrepreneurship, mathematics and statistical studies Bruno de Finetti and private partner Gruppo Euris.
Bootcamp and connecting with corpos to open new markets
CAB Acceleration program will enable startups to cooperate with leading representatives of the industries, Aristoncavi, Danieli, Aquafil, Asalaser, Carel Industries and Irinox in Italy and BTC, Petrol, Telekom Slovenije and Triglav in Slovenia. The program is focused on the unique possibilities offered by both regions. The companies included in the program will be presenting on an international event CAB Expo, June 2019 in Venice. Today startups which were participating in the CAB program are presenting at the Crystal Palace, BTC in Ljubljana, Soplaya, Vires Electric Mower robot, Foxwin, Picosats, UZTZU, Shop-o-rama, Luckyoneteam, Tomappo, Cafelier, Flexyteam, Omniopti, Procurean, Codebrainer, Datahoney (by Honeycomb) and Creanest.
