Geneplanet was recently chosen as the best biotech startup in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). With this, the Slovene company qualified for the competition Global Startup Awards. “This recognition confirms that our company is on the right track when it comes to globally offering preventive solutions in order to improve people’s health,” said company head of sales, Matjaž Petrovič, upon receiving the award.
At the announcement ceremony in Warsaw, winners in 15 categories were chosen from amongst more than 3500 nominees. Geneplanet was founded in 2008 and has a little fewer than 50 employees. It is an internationally recognized company, specialized for the development and sales of preventive genetic tests, focused on improving the lifestyle of every individual. This year, the Slovenian biotech company obtained an investment in the amount of 10 million euros from the Swiss investor JF Investments.
